NURTURING TALENT AND FOSTERING A LOVE FOR THE GAME

Twende Initiatives

At Twende Sports, giving back to the community is a slam dunk. We bring professional-level coaching and resources right to their doorstep. Through our youth development programs, we're committed to nurturing the next generation of Kenyan basketball stars and fans.

This includes rehabilitating community courts, providing mentorship, and offering top-notch coaching to help young athletes reach their full potential.

TWENDE MEN STREET LEAGUE TEAM

We build champions from the asphalt up. Our Street league teams cultivate raw talent honed on concrete courts, transforming streetballers into the next generation of stars. In our first year competing in the league we proved it all on the court, taking home the Street League Championship!

TWENDE WOMEN STREET LEAGUE TEAM

We are committed to providing equal opportunities for young men and women to pursue their basketball ambitions. We established our Women’s Street League team in 2023 - the ladies qualified for the playoffs and are gearing to top the league in 2024.

COMMUNITY
CLINICS

Growing stars on the court and in life. Our clinics bring basketball to underprivileged children in primary schools across Nairobi. We coach and mentor young minds, nurturing their love for the game while building a foundation for success on and off the court.

COURT
REHABILITATION

We are actively building basketball courts in communities, providing a space for aspiring talents to hone their skills. Our transformative basketball camps are nurturing the next generation of basketball enthusiasts, ensuring a sustainable and thriving future for the sport.

DEE
MENTOR

We've teamed up with Deementor to help young South Sudanese refugees in Kenya find their place through the power of sports. They face challenges integrating into their new communities.  Deementor provides crucial scholarship opportunities, allowing them to pursue their education alongside their athletic dreams.
